Case Study: Dual Turning and Grouping Custom Drive Assembly
INDUSTRY: Cosmetics | OPERATING SPEED: 120 CPM
CONTAINER: Glass Nail Polish
Customer Container Handling Challenge: Our customer needed to turn and group nail polish bottles for sleeving.
Morrison Solution: Our engineers performed two applications in one solution. We designed a custom drive assembly where the first set of screws turn the containers 90 degrees then are handed off to a second set of screws that groups the nail polish bottles into sets of two.
After grouped, the bottles are discharged at pitch prior to the sleeving application, leaving the proper orientation and spacing for the sleeve to be placed onto the bottles.
This system features Morrison’s “No Tools” Quick Change to conveniently switch timing screws with no tools and minimal downtime.
Construction: Black Anodized Aluminum
